Betty Jean Warner Peters passed away peacefully on September 23, 2023, at the age of 89. She was born June 21,1934 in Spanish Fork, Utah to John Fox Warner Jr. and Ardell Perry, the youngest of eleven children. They planned to name her Dawn, however, imagine Ardy's surprise when Johnny stood up in church to bless her and named her Betty, after his mother!
She met Clyde Peters while working at Mountain Bell in Salt Lake City, and they were married on April 13, 1957. They were the parents of three children: Dave, Anne, and Sue.
Betty was an amazing servant of the Lord, quietly serving without seeking attention, or praise. She held many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Primary President was her fondest calling. She loved the children, and they loved her. She was a temple worker from the day the Bountiful temple opened, giving 24 years of devoted service. Betty was employed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and worked and retired from the magazine department, where she had many special friends. She worked in the scouting program, volunteered as a Pink Lady at Primary Children's Hospital, and gave tender care to her friends and sisters as they grew older. One of the great joys in her life was being able to travel with her family and her best friend Iv. Upon returning home, she would immediately "write the story" of their adventures.
Betty was the magic and glue of many relationships, always trying to create peace in her family. She served as PTA president, camp leader, and anywhere her children were, so that she could keep an eye on them. She left a positive mark on all the lives she touched. She was dependable to a T. If Betty said she was going to do something, she did it! She took pride in her yard, and up until June of this year, you could find her outside doing a section at a time, keeping everything looking beautiful.
Betty leaves behind her children Dave Peters (Candy), Anne Hutchings (Brad), Sue Hall (Curtis), and her brother Ron (Sharon) Warner. Her pride and joy were her ten grandchildren: Bob Peters, Danny Peters, John Peters, Landon Hutchings, Hailey Poppe (Daniel), Michael Hutchings (Katie), Shannon Sanders (Nick), Caden Hall (Callie), Christian Hall (Lindsay), and Sadie Ombach (Jaxon) - and 15 (and counting) of the cutest great- grandchildren ever!
