Betty Renee Margetts Penman

Our loving mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018 in Bountiful, Utah due to incidents associated with age and pneumonia. She was born June 6, 1935 to Lawrence R. and Nora Davis Margetts. Renee was raised in SLC, Utah with her beautiful sisters Jean and Gayle. She attended West High and L.D.S. Business College.  She married W. Eugene Penman June 12, 1953 and raised three children, Steven, Sandra and Don Scot in their Bountiful home. It  was the happiest time of her life. She was a member of the LDS Church and loved her neighbors and friends. Renee worked for Davis School District for 36 years as a cashier for So. Davis Jr. High. She loved lunch with granddaughters, vacations in Yellowstone and Jackson Hole.
She was preceded in death by husband Gene, son Steven and daughter-in-law Susan, and son Don. She is survived by her daughter Sandy Wood (Rick), 6 beautiful grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and sisters Jean Sipple Holland and Gayle Patrick.  
A viewing will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, Utah, where a small funeral service for family and friends will be held Friday, Dec. 14, at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
