Beverley Jeanne Lundstrom

October 28, 1929 — June 25, 2019

Beverley Jeanne Lundstrom, our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on June 25, 2019 surrounded by loving family. She had been waiting many years for a sweet reunion with her beloved husband, Joseph Leonard Lundstrom, who died in 2014.

Beverley was 89 years old; born October 28, 1929 in Santa Monica, California, as the daughter of Robert Benjamin Leitch and Isabelle Emilie Kemp.  Beverley used to tell everyone she met she was the cause of the Great Depression since the stock market crashed the day after she was born.   Beverley attended public school in Santa Monica, California, and in Pullman, Washington, where she lived with extended family during WWII. Following the war, she met her husband at a church function.

Beverley married Joseph Lundstrom in 1946, in Santa Barbara, California. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Beverley and Joseph had 8 children.  She was a wonderful and supportive mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who attended hundreds, if not thousands, of baptisms, school programs, concerts, mission farewells, piano recitals, primary programs and activities, priesthood ordinations, little league games, birthday parties, and weddings.

Beverley joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in her teenage years.  She was an active member of the Church throughout her life and served in many callings including Relief Society President, Primary President, and as a temple worker in the Ogden and Bountiful Temples.  She supported her husband in his callings as a Stake President in the Rose Park North Stake and a Stake Patriarch in the Kaysville North Stake. Through her service and selfless dedication, she taught her love of the Gospel and the Church to her children and grandchildren.

Beverley loved spending time with her family playing games, doing jigsaw puzzles and camping. She enjoyed sewing for her children and grandchildren. She loved serving others; she loved her family; and she loved her Savior Jesus Christ.

Beverley was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Leonard Lundstrom (2014), her son James (Jim) Christian Lundstrom (2009), and her sister Isabelle Lee Metz (2012).

Beverley is survived by seven of her eight children, Sally (Dennis) Hendrickson, Joel (Kim) Lundstrom, David (Sharalee) Lundstrom, Jonathan (Cathy) Lundstrom, Holly (Steve) Allred, Robert (Garilyn) Lundstrom, and Laurie (Clark) Christensen, her brother Bob (Georgia) Leitch and sister Frances Leitch, 34 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kaysville 18th Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1091 N 50 E, Kaysville, Utah, 84037.  Viewings will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019, at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1041 North Main St., Farmington, Utah, 84025, 6-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 13, 2019, 10-10:45 a.m. at the Kaysville 18th Ward Chapel.
