BOUNTIFUL–Beverly Jean Bartley Carmack, age 82, died February 12th, 2017 of complications from pneumonia.
Beverly was born February 8, 1935 in Denver Colorado to William James and Margaret Helen Clark Bartley. She married the love of her life, Harold Don Carmack on February 4, 1955 in the Idaho Falls Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church and showed her love to the Lord by faithfully fulfilling numerous callings and most especially with the youth and women. She served in the Primary, Young Women and Relief Society presidencies. Beverly also served in the Stake Relief Society presidency, and as Relief Society president at the Bountiful Legacy House. She was a great leader and teacher. She and Don served on the Bountiful Handcart Days committee for three years. They served as missionaries for the LDS church in the Florida Jacksonville Mission 2000 and 2001. She was also a teacher’s aide at Hannah Holbrook Elementary.
She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and devoted her life to their welfare and happiness. Beverly loved to sew, knit, crochet, cook, garden, and to travel. She also enjoyed researching her family history. Beverly crocheted beautiful blessing dresses for all her great-grand-daughters. She loved life and lived every minute to the fullest in serving others. Don and Beverly owned the Spudnut Shop, later Carmack’s, where she worked with her husband, also she worked for many years as a legal secretary at a law firm in Salt Lake City.
Survived by her husband whom she loved dearly; children Brian B. (Leslie), North Salt Lake, UT, Linda D. (Rick) Neumeyer, Centerville, UT; Blair D., Bountiful, UT; and Darin N. (Julee), Washington, UT; 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; brother, William Clark Bartley, sisters, Tami (Craig) Smith, and Susan (Michael) Strong. She is preceded in death by her parents, William J. Bartley and Margaret Helen Tadje.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Bountiful 9th Ward Chapel, 591 East Center St. Bountiful, UT. Viewing will be held Sunday February 19, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful UT. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
