Our beautiful and loving mother Beverly Marshall Olsen passed away in the comfort of her home on November 28, 2015. "Bev" was not only the best Mom any child could have ever asked for, but she was also a great friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a kind and caring soul with never a harsh word, a great blessing to all, especially her children.
Mom was born May 31,1946 to Robert (Bob) and Norma Marshall in Roosevelt, UT. Shortly after graduating from Union High she moved to Salt Lake City. Soon after she married Terry Olsen (later divorced) and they moved to Davis County where she raised her six children.
Mom had a love for animals. She loved growing up on their huge ranch near Vernal but took great pride in her "little farm" in West Bountiful where she raised her children. She loved cooking, gardening and horses. She had a great passion for her kennel where she groomed dogs and raised her beloved Samoyed and Rottweiler puppies. The last few years, she enjoyed the company of her Westie Terrier “girls” Sydney and Sadie.
Mom is survived by her two daughters Chree (Steve) Martin, Amanda (Ty) Overton, three sons Randy Olsen (Kelle), James Olsen, Jeff (Carrie) Olsen, 15 grandchildren, two sisters Norma (Ella) Cutter, Merlene Folks and two brothers Robert Marshall and Rodney (Amy) Marshall along with many other friends and family. Mom has now been reunited with her beloved daughter Tammy Bluemel, her parents Bob and Norma…and her loving dogs.
A small service and a celebration of mom’s life will take place for family and friends at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at The Wight House, 95 North Main Street, Bountiful.
Mom – every beautiful sunset will remind us of you. We know you are once again happy…and smiling your beautiful smile.
