Beverly Patterson Tidwell, age 85, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 20, 2017 due to natural causes. Beverly was born on March 9, 1931 in Montpelier, Idaho to James Willard Patterson and Pearl Susanna Price. She married and was sealed to her eternal companion and sweetheart Frank Ray Tidwell on December 28, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Beverly spent her childhood in Bloomington, Idaho near beautiful Bear Lake. A place she and her family returned to often throughout her life enjoying the family property. Later the family moved to the Salt Lake area where she graduated from West High School. Beverly then attended and graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in education. She was a devoted, loving teacher throughout her life. Her work touched the lives of hundreds of students and she never missed an opportunity to be selfless and help others.
While teaching in Murray, Beverly met and married the love of her life, Frank. Together they enjoyed raising a family and experiencing life's adventures including travels to across America, New Zealand, and Europe. They served a full-time mission in the Germany, Frankfurt mission. Their greatest joy was spending time with each other.
Beverly was a talented artist. Her artwork decorated the Tidwell family home and she especially enjoyed developing artistic talent in children. Beverly spent her life in the service of others. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she put her heart into every calling. Her friends will long remember her for the many small acts of kindness known only to them.
Beverly was a loving, caring, devoted mother and grandmother. She loved attending the many functions and activities of her grandchildren. Her sweetheart, Frank, passed away last year. She is survived by her seven children: Kendall (Ruth Ann) Tidwell, Reed (Sheri) Tidwell, Blaine (Lori) Tidwell, Kirk (Heidi) Tidwell, Tana (Brian) Noble, Glade (Brittany) Tidwell, and Deanna (Brad) Otton. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and her siblings Patricia Johnson, Dean Patterson, and DeEtte Reed.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Centerville 19th Ward Chapel, 900 South 400 East, Centerville. A viewing for family and friends will be held Friday, February 24 from 6-8pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Saturday afternoon 12:45-1:45pm at the church prior to services. Interment-Centerville City Cemetery.
