Bjorg N. Pilgrim was born in Vennesla, Norway on December 4, 1932 just ten years before WWII when as a young girl, she lived through the German Occupation of Norway.
Bjorg met Lawrence at Nato Headquarters in Norway. Having been recently transferred, Lawrence walked into work his first day and it was love at first sight. They were married in Oslo, Norway on June 24, 1954.
Bjorg loved being active. She loved to ski, swim, dance, go on outings with their group of friends “the empty nesters”, and playing cards with family and friends. Most of all, she loved having her grandchildren with them at their cabin in Wyoming.
Bjorg was accomplished in speaking 7 languages, knitting countless baby sweaters. . even for families she barely knew. . . sewing for her daughters when they were young and following in the tradition from her own mother, Astrid Nordhagen. . . knitting beautiful Norwegian sweaters and later in her life, crocheting afghans for the Pilgrim Thanksgiving Reunion Raffel held every November.
Bjorg is survived by her husband, Lawrence Pilgrim; her daughters, Lezann Keshmiri (Majid), Kristina Elmer (David); and her grandchildren, Saeed, Cody, Trevor and Sarah Rose.
