We express with great sadness and broken hearts of the passing of Bolton Leslie Collins, husband of Jeannette Tycz Collins and the father of five children Abby 19, Emma 16, Eliza 14, Kate 10, Carter 8. He died on Christmas Day, 2017 after a long battle with kidney disease. He was born to Alan and Tamara Collins on May 23, 1973 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He grew up in Bountiful, Utah where he graduated from Bountiful High School and later graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelors of Art in Fine Art. At the age of 19, he served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Finland Helsinki Mission. He loves the people, culture and language of Finland. After his mission, he met Jeannette Tycz of Ogden, Utah while they both worked for America First Credit Union. They were sealed in the Bountiful, Utah Temple on May 09, 1997.
Bolton was a man of courage and goodness, fighting a 20 year battle with kidney disease. During this time, he received two kidneys from earthly angels, Laurie Merrill and Amber Cole to whom he was grateful everyday. This allowed him to live long enough to baptize all of his children and send his daughter, Abby to serve the Lord in the Chile Rancagua Mission. Bolton is proud of Abby’s service and all of the accomplishments of his children. He found no better joy than to watch his children grow and serve.
He was an example for good, love, and friendship to all that knew him. It was his faith and testimony in the Savior Jesus Christ that lifted him during the difficult trials of his life. He never wavered in his desire to seek His will and serve those around him.
Bolton is survived by his wife Jeannette and daughters Abby, Emma, Eliza, and Kate and son Carter. His parents Alan and Tamara Collins. Sisters Megan Oliphant (Kendall) and Merci Hase (Michael). Brothers Cameron (Nicole), Benton (Haley), Chason (Tina). He is preceded in death by his sister Meredith.
