Breana Johnson Tilley was born in Bountiful, Utah, on December 8th, 1971. She came home from the hospital in a Christmas stocking and has been a gift to all of us ever since. When she was five years old, her mother asked what she wanted to be when she grew up and Breana answered, “A cornflake pourer.” After several weeks of confusion, her family realized she had watched her own mom pour her children bowls of cornflakes. They learned that this was Breana’s way of saying she wanted to be a mom someday. After graduating from Viewmont High School in 1990, she married and her dream of motherhood was fulfilled. Eventually she brought five children into the world. She loved and protected them fiercely.
She has lived with her family in Utah, Hawaii, California, Texas, Tennessee, Colorado and gained many close friends wherever she went. She loved to travel and recently was employed by SkyWest as a ticket agent.
Breana was a mom through and through. She adored the youth in her life and served as a Young Women leader where she befriended and influenced many young people who have stayed connected to her even after she moved away.
Breana loved nature and was always up for a great hike or running a marathon or soaking in the hot tub in her backyard. Always the life of a party, she was never reluctant to gather people around and make a party happen. Creativity flowed from her, and she used her creative talents in so many ways to make others happy. A fierce ally for the marginalized, she supported and loved the LGBTQ community.
Breana leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her children, siblings, friends, and her parents. She is survived by her children and their partners, Ryan & Shali Tilley, Matthew & Abby Tilley, Mikell Tilley & Amanda Ibarra, Austin Tilley, and Cameron Tilley. She is also survived by her parents, Carl & Sherrie Johnson, and her siblings and their spouses, Laresa & Boyd Campbell, Talena & Jay Dee Kerr, Anissa & Eric Parlin, Mariah & Michael Wickham, Kirsha & Morgan Quigley, Meleah & Daniel Ferguson, Patrea & Nick Sr. Heath, and Joshua & Jackie Johnson.
