Brenda L. Tau’a passed from this life on December 26, 2015. She was surrounded by her family and entered into the loving embrace of her Father in Heaven. She was born, July 25th, 1947 in Rigby, Idaho to Henry W. And Mary O. Pieper.
She attended Rigby High School, Ricks College and graduated from BYU with her degree in Elementary Education. She taught elementary school for 31 years, in Duchesne, Layton, Bountiful and North Salt Lake. She retired from teaching in 2000.
She met the love of her life in 1976, Gabriel K. Tau’a. They were married on June 24th 1977 and then sealed in the Ogden Temple. They welcomed their only child in 1979. She was an active member of the LDS Church and held various positions.
She loved to travel! She went across Europe, Mexico and the United States. She loved to spend time with her family, reading books, watching movies and playing games.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law, a brother, 2 brother-in-laws, and a nephew.
She is survived by her husband, Gabriel K. Tau’a, Gabriel K. Tau’a IV (Son), Melissa K. Tau’a (Daughter-in-law) and Gabriel K. Tau’a V (Grandson), sisters, brothers, sister-in-law, brother-in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Val Verda 6th Ward, 2651 south 500 West, Bountiful. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Monday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will follow at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
