Brennan Andrew Cluff

On March 7th, 2017 Brennan Andrew Cluff was welcomed home into the loving arms of his Father in Heaven, and many loved ones who have gone before him.  Brennan was an amazing young man who was a friend to everyone he met.  His life was tragically cut short as a result of drug addiction.  Brennan fought a valiant fight, giving it all he had, and is now free from the struggles he endured in this world.
Brennan was born on a crisp fall evening on October 15, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William and Carol Cluff.  He is the oldest of six children and was the best big brother anyone could ever ask for.  He was raised in Centerville, and as a child loved tigers, lions, jaguars and anything creepy crawly, especially snakes.  He played soccer and basketball as a youth, but his real love was hockey. Brennan started playing with DCYHA for two years.  He then  played defense for four years for the Viewmont High Vikings where his team represented Utah in National's his Senior year, class of 2013.  Following that Brennan attended Weber State University.
Brennan was a talented musician playing the violin when he was younger and the guitar and piano later on.  He had a deep love of music, and enjoyed playing his guitar around many a campfire.  You know what a beautiful voice he had, if you were lucky enough to catch him singing.  Brennan also was a talented artist, and enjoyed sketching throughout his life.  Brennan was amazing on the grill, and his love of a good steak was only outweighed by his deep and abiding affection for chocolate ice cream.
Brennan is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an Eagle Scout.  He gained a great love for the outdoors from his father.  He loved to four-wheel, longboard, snowmobile, snowboard, ski, hike, camp and fish.  He had plans to climb Mt. Rainer with his dad this summer.  His most recent passion was rock climbing , and he went with his dad and friends every chance they could get.  He loved to work on cars, especially his 1973 CJ5 Jeep.
Brennan was a fierce and loyal friend to all, and will be deeply missed by so many.  His smile, laugh and sense of humor are legendary.  You just couldn't help but be happy when he was around.  We will miss his crazy impressions and goofiness, as well and the deep love we felt from him.
Brennan is survived by his adoring parents, brother Conner and sisters, McKinley, Ashlyn, Brooklynn and Emily.  We know he will be watching over them from above. He loved and was close to both sets of Grandparents, Charles and Pamela Durr (Farmington) and Marvin and Joy Cluff (Bountiful).  He also leaves behind many wonderful Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.  Brennan was preceded in death by his cousin, John Nobriga.
We can never fully express our gratitude for our family, friends and neighbors who have been by our side through this difficult time.  We thank the wonderful nurses, doctors and administration at Lakeview Hospital for their amazing care, not only for Brennan but for our entire family.  They went above and beyond the call of duty every moment of the 6 days Brennan was in their care.  We are also deeply grateful for the Centerville Police department and South Davis Fire and Paramedics who, by resuscitating Brennan gave us the time to say goodbyes to our sweet son and brother, and allowed Brennan to be an organ donor, blessing many lives.
Funeral services will be held, Monday March 13th at 11:00 am in the Centerville North Stake Center, 1461 N. Main Street, Centerville, Utah, where Brennan's viewing will be on Sunday, March 12th from 6:00-8:00 pm, as well as Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to the services. Interment will be at the Centerville City Cemetery.
