Brent Wettstein

Brent Ray Wettstein passed away on August 22, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family. Brent was born on November 7, 1941 to Ray M Wettstein and Venna Maughan Wettstein in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Brent grew up in West Bountiful and lived his entire life in the surrounding area.
He married Leslee Lemon in 1965. Together they had three children Jay, Mindy, and Casey. They later divorced. Brent then married Afton Mabey, they later divorced.  
In 1991, he met his best friend, Marlene Lehman. Over the years, they had many great times together traveling and just hanging out enjoying each other's company. They were always laughing and teasing each other.  Thank you, Marlene for the happiness and love you brought into Dad's life, and the care you gave him.  We love you.
Brent grew up loving cars and knew how to make them go fast!  He loved spending time outdoors flying, fishing, and traveling with family and friends. He was a dedicated, hardworking man which was shown by his years of running many successful businesses.  He was always good for a sarcastic comment, which will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his infant daughter Mindy.  He is survived by his boys Jay (Gina) Wettstein and Casey (Jennifer) Wettstein.  His grandchildren: Ashlee, Jordan, Justin, Bryton, Kenedy, Sierra, and Macee; along with four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his long-time friend Marlene and her family as well as his sister Cheryl (Dennis) Jacobs.
We would like to thank the family, friends, and staff on Intermediate Care Unit at McKay-Dee Hospital who went out of their way to care for Brent during the past couple of weeks.

A viewing for close friends and family will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 9:30-10:30 AM at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 AM at Bountiful Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful.
