Centerville, Utah Bret Stephens, 34, devoted husband, son, brother and AWESOME uncle passed away September 11th from complications of pancreatitis. Bret was born July 25th, 1980 to Brent and Stephanie Stephens. Bret finally found the love of his life Jamie, or “J” as he called her, and they married June 20, 2013. As he stated many times, “I love her more than life itself”. He is survived by wife Jamie, parents Brent and Stephanie, sister Hailie Pollock (Josh), brothers Cole and Tanner, niece Sadie, nephews Judson and Hendriks, as well as multiple friends and extended family. Preceded in death by grandma and grandpa Stephens, grandpa Hancock, and too many close friends, especially Winnie.
Bret had so many hobbies. He loved rock crawling, known as the spotter. He later found a passion for RC crawling where he built his own cars, winning 1st place in many competitions. Bret loved collecting and shooting guns, taking wonderful pictures, riding dirt bikes, and fixing everyone’s car. His greatest joy was behind the scenes listening to a friend that is down, giving his last dollar to somebody that is in need, being a best friend to a little boy that needed a fatherly figure, being the best uncle a little child could every ask for. Bret will be missed by all that knew him and his cleaver personality. It is truly a loss for those that didn’t have the opportunity to understand and love the Bret that we know.
