Brett Cox

Biography

Returned to his Father in Heaven on June 3, 2014 surrounded by his family after a long and courageous struggle to overcome substance abuse. He was born July 28, 1987 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to his Mother Leslie Andrews of Ivins, Utah and Father Scott Cox of Bountiful, Utah.

Brett loved the outdoors and always found ways to fish and hunt whenever possible. He also enjoyed Frisbee golf, loved roughhousing with his brothers Easton, Cameron and Riley, and enjoyed special time spent with sister Kinzy sharing and teaching her about life.

Brett had a special passion for heavy equipment operation and worked with his Dad on many occasions excavating and building rock walls. Brett enjoyed special, loving relationships with all his Grandparents, especially Grandma Noall.

He is survived by his Mother, Leslie Andrews (Craig) of Ivins, Utah; Dad, Scott Cox (Carrie) of Bountiful, Utah; Grandparents, Ken and Roujean Noall, Ogden, Utah, Leon and Sharon Cox of Roy, Utah, and Jolene Randall of Bountiful, Utah; Sister, Kinzy Cox; Brothers, Easton, Cameron, and Riley all of Bountiful, Utah; Step-sister, Vannessa Bernal of Fruita, CO; Step-brother Jeremiah Andrews of Bennett, CO; his lifemate, Tara Jones, Ogden, Utah; and their very precious Daughter, Bentley. His Great-Grandma Bell and Grandpa Randall preceded Brett in death.

Private family funeral services were held in Bountiful, Utah on June 6, 2014 with interment at Bountiful City Cemetery.
