Brian Casper passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2023 at the age of 79.
Brian was born in Rexburg, Idaho on September 19, 1943, the only son of Ardell and Orson Casper. He attended Granite High School and after serving in the Central German Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, graduated with a BS in Accounting and an MBA, both from the University of Utah. He was a lifelong and loyal Utah fan.
While attending the University of Utah, he met and married Susan York in the Salt Lake Temple. They settled in Bountiful where they raised three children. Brian worked for the accounting firm Peat, Marwick, Mitchell, followed by a long and successful career as a CFO in the mortgage banking industry, most notably with Crossland Mortgage.
Throughout his life, Brian placed a priority on service to his community and to his church. He accepted and diligently fulfilled every formal and informal calling and opportunity that came his way, including serving in the Alaska Anchorage Mission with his wife. He served with honor and loyalty, giving his best effort in every endeavor.
Brian loved a good golf game, taking vacations, and long walks. Brian always sought to provide opportunities for his three children to achieve successful and happy lives and greatly enjoyed spending time with his five grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; sons Craig (Quentin Webb) and Jeffrey (Lina Paulauskaite); grandsons Carter, James, Andrew, Alistair and his precious granddaughter, Liepa May. His daughter, Andrea Casper King preceded him in death.
Brian will be interred at the Bountiful City Cemetery. Friends and family wishing to pay their respects are invited to join with his family for a celebration of Brian’s life on February 11, 2023 at the Bountiful Davis Art Center, 90 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah anytime between 2-5 pm.
