Brian Tell Gubler

December 18, 1932 — September 19, 2016

Brian passed away at his home in Bountiful, UT on Monday, September 19, 2016.  He was born in LaVerkin, UT to Audrey Gregerson and William Gubler on December 18, 1932.  After his mother’s passing in 1943, his father married Ella Brooksby.  Brian graduated from Baker high school and then BYU with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  He met the love of his life, Dorothy Davis while attending BYU, they were married December 22, 1955 at the Idaho Falls Temple.

Brian was sworn into the Air Force where he became a pilot and served for 23 years, retiring as a Colonel.  He later worked for EDO western for 10 years, after which he began his videography business.  He was always known to have a camera in his hand.  Brian followed in his father’s footsteps and was an avid scouter, he was a recipient of the silver beaver.

Brian and Dorothy raised a beautiful family with 5 children, 18 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed by all that knew him, he was such a loving, kind soul.  Brian is survived by his wife Dorothy, children; Marci Young, Debra Arnell (Bryan), Barbara Christensen (Larry), Kelly Gubler (Carole), Kristy Anderson (Tony); grandchildren, great grandchildren, mother Ella, and 9 siblings.  He is preceded in death by his father William, mother Audrey, and brother Brent.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 between 6-8 pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, UT.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11:00 am, with a viewing between 9:30-10:30 am at the Kimball Mill Ward, 650 S. 200 E., Bountiful, UT.  Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery.  Online guestbook available at www.russonmortuary.com.
