Brittany Farr Pulsipher passed away peacefully on Friday February 21, 2020 in her home in Woods Cross, UT. She was surrounded by family.
She was born November 6, 1979 to Brian and Jayne Farr. She was the middle of five children. She grew up near the Capitol building in Salt Lake City. When she was 8 she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and handled it with bravery. She later moved to Bountiful as she started high school. She had many good friends who had a lot of fun together.
She graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in accounting but also spent some time living with friends at Utah State. Here, she got into as much mischief as she ever did.
She married her eternal companion, Daniel Pulsipher, on June 16, 2005 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in downtown Salt Lake while Dan attended school. Brittany worked hard to support the family while working at the Utah Sports Commission and a local law firm. Their son Tanner joined the family and brought such joy! Here, at age 28, Brittany was first diagnosed with early stage breast cancer and started a long and valiant journey.
The family lived in Tucson, AZ for a year. This was a time of great happiness. Initial treatments of cancer had finished and it was sunny all year. Great friends and memories were made.
She lived in Woods Cross, UT for the past 10 years. Another son, Jackson, joined the family here and has brought so much love! Cancer returned after treatments several times over but she always handled the challenge with grace and courage. She was surrounded by loving friends and neighbors who have served so much. Over her many years of treatments, she always looked for ways to serve and lighten the burden of others.
She was a gifted listener; friends and strangers were drawn to her. She had a gifted memory and often provided measured, wise counsel. She had a beautiful smile which she shared freely. She cared about individuals.
She loved her boys with all her heart. She was often involved with classroom parties and fieldtrips. She gave them her time and wanted to be with them. She supremely taught by example. She was a perfect companion and made a great team with Dan. Her love was deep and true. She was kind and funny and fun. She had a great sense of humor and readily pointed out puns and enjoyed plays on words.
She made traveling and trips fun. Over the past year and a half she was able to go on trips with her family to Mexico; Huntsville, UT; Camping in the popup trailer in the Uintas; San Diego, CA; Tuacahn Center for the Arts; Tucson, AZ; East Canyon resort; Pineview Reservoir; Ogden/Honeyville; and Canada. She was also able to enjoy sledding and cross country and downhill skiing with her family.
She was a faithful disciple of our Savior and loved serving in many callings. She served with Young Women wherever she lived and loved those relationships. She also enjoyed callings in Relief Society and Primary, especially with her special friend Bennett. She loved the topics of light, temples, gratitude and grace. She knew she was a daughter of God and that families are forever.
Words cannot express the amazing gift Brittany was and will be in our lives.
She is survived by her husband, Dan; sons, Tanner and Jackson; parents, Brian and Jayne Farr; siblings, Jana (Cameron) Scott, Justin (Andrea) Farr, Erin Farr, Kellie Farr; parents in-law, Dixie and Dennis Pulsipher; brothers and sisters in law: Michael (Amy) Pulsipher, Curtis (Jen) Pulsipher, Gary (Cheryl) Pulsipher, Becky (Brent) Kay, Debbie (Peter) Plaizier and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the North Salt Lake Legacy Stake Center, 954 West 1100 North, where a viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and also Saturday morning 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services.
With deep gratitude, we thank all friends, family and medical professionals who have served and loved Brittany and our family in countless ways.
