Bryan Montgomery

Biography

Our loving husband, son, brother, uncle passed away February 15, 2014 from complications following surgery for a broken femur.

Bry was born February 5, 1961 in Salt Lake City, UT to Robert L. Montgomery and Francene Peterson Meyer, He is the second of four children. Bry “grew up” in Bountiful, UT. He attended Bountiful High School where he was a member of the swim team. He received his Airframe and Powerplant certifications from Salt Lake Community College. He was on the President’s and Dean’s lists. He was employed by Sierra Pacific Airlines as an Aircraft Mechanic specializing in Boeing 737’s.

Bry and his eternal sweetheart, Dianna Deppe, were married April 14, 1988 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Bry was a High Priest and faithful member of the LDS Church. He served in the Elder’s Quorum Presidency, as a Primary teacher and home teacher in West Valley and Foxboro wards.

Bry loves sailing, anything to do with airplanes, swimming, fishing, hunting, reading, Robintino’s and University of Utah athletics. He is very mechanical and enjoyed fixing things himself. He loves being with family and friends, and would do anything for them. His nieces and nephews are his joy. He loved teaching them and was always proud of them.

Bry is survived by his wife, mother, father, sister RobynLee Rencher (Mark), brothers Jim (Tiffany) and Bob. Parents-in-law Lawrence and Judith Deppe, in-laws Marilyn Porter (Jeff), Lisa Jackson (Dave), Julie Ford (Quentin), Emily Deppe, and Jeremy Deppe (Julie). Twenty-five nieces and nephews and one great nephew.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 11:00am, Valentine Chapel 1847 West 2150 South (just off Redwood Road), Woods Cross, UT. Friends and family may visit Tuesday, February 18, 2014 6:00pm-8:00pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, UT and Wednesday 9:30am-10:30am at the Valentine Chapel. Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery.

If preferred, donations may be made to the LDS Church Missionary Fund.
