Cal Eugene Christensen

Cal Eugene Christensen returned to his eternal family on September 29, 2015 of natural causes.  He was born March 21, 1929 to Henry Christensen and Eva Nathela Zabriskie in Mt. Pleasant, Sanpete County, Utah.  Cal attended Hamilton Grade School in Mt. Pleasant, and graduated as a valedictorian at Wasatch Academy also in Mt. Pleasant.  Upon graduation, he attended the University Of Utah College Of Pharmacy.  In 1951 he started working at Bountiful Drug.  On March 18, 1953 he married the love of his life, Colleen Haacke, who was employed at the pharmacy.  Marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  Cal was a veil worker in the temple every Tuesday night, when the temple was open, for 10 years. 

Survived by his wife and four children; Douglas H (Myong), Blair David (Karen Zorbock), Lori (John Gressmen), and Michael Paul (Laurianne Gines). Five grandchildren; Amber (Dusty Schick), Ashley (Steve Ahleen), Whitney Gressmen, Miranda (Shaun Griffiths), and Chase Hunter Christensen.  Six great grandchildren; Avery, Stetson & Sawyer Schick, Oaklee & Archer Ahleen, and Jordyn Griffiths.

Preceded in death by parents, in-laws, and one grandson, Clint E. Christensen.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West.  A viewing will be held Sunday, October 4th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., and 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Monday prior to the service at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah.
