Biography

Calvin Manfull Rose, age 78, died at his home in Bountiful, Utah, Wednesday, January 15, 2013.
Cal was born to Wallace and Della Rose, July 13, 1934. Cal attended Davis County Schools, where he lived his whole life.
He married Marilyn Hollist in Farmington, Utah September 3, 1954. Cal was call to the military service in the Korean war where he spent two years at Fort Hood, Texas. On his return to Bountiful, he was employed by Bountiful Motor as parts manager and still later, Bountiful Irrigation for 25 years until he retired. He also belonged to the Bountiful Jeep Posse from 1961 – 1972.
Cal was a very talented person. He had many hobbies; jewelry and woodwork, to mention two.
Marilyn and Cal bought a partly built cabin in Alpine, Wyoming. They finished it beautifully inside and out, added a two story garage and workshop. A real treasure and the end of a dream.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West. A viewing will be held for immediate family at 10:00 a.m. prior to services.
