Camille Wilson Barber, my sweet wife, passed away on November 8th, 2023.
She was born on May 28th, 1970 in Salt Lake City Utah to Neal R and Karen Madsen Wilson. Camille was sealed to John Phillip Barber in the St. George Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on March 18, 1994. Although we fell just short of 30 years of marriage here on earth, I am gratefully looking forward to an eternity to spend with my Camillee. Camille loves her family. Her two boys and their sweet wives, Logan (Brynley) and Judd (Lauren) brought her joy and happiness beyond words.
Camille had one simple hobby; whatever her family was up for and willing to try, she wanted in. Whether it was vacationing in the sun or playing games around the dinner table, it made no difference as long as we were all together. When it came to family gatherings, it was ‘the bigger the better’ for Camille. She was blessed with extended family in both numbers and love, caring, and compassion beyond measure (with a little crazy mixed in). We will always be grateful for the prayers of love and support from everyone.
Camille has spent the last 20 years working with the kids in the Davis County School District. From Eaglebay Elementary, to Farmington Jr. High, to Davis High School, she made lifelong friends both young and old, both student and faculty that made it mostly like fun and hardly like work. I will never be able to express my love and gratitude to the faculty at Davis High for their love and friendship over these past few months. Camille loved her church callings with the kids as well. From our first calling together in the nursery, her calling with the young women, and with her true love being in the primary, she loved being with kids and watching them grow into adulthood.
Camille is survived by her husband John Barber, her two sons Logan and Judd and their spouses (Brynley and Lauren), her parents Neal and Karen Wilson, her siblings Jade Wilson, Staci Taylor, and Devin Wilson along with their spouses (Christina, Danny, and Lindsay) and their children. Along with her maternal grandmother Evelyn Madsen, and many other Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
We want to thank the staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute for their care and compassion.
