Carl White, Born March 9, 1921, 86, passed away on Oct.23, 2007, surrounded by his loving family.
Carl loved building and was well known in the local area for building some of the first campers.
He was a POW in WWII having been shot down over France, later escaping and making his way back to the Allied lines with the help of the French Underground. He married his sweetheart, Thelma, on April 20, 1942; they had just celebrated their 65th anniversary. Thelma preceded him in death by just 5 months.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife, Thelma, enjoyed traveling and wintering in California and St. George, UT.
He is the grandfather of 24 and the great grandfather of 32. He is survived by daughters, Kathy Prims, Farmington, UT; Linda Timothy Mitchell, Conyers, GA; Carole Jeanne Kenneth Hacking, Kaysville, UT; and son Ronald Cheryl White, Uintah, UT.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 2, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Farmington 10th Ward chapel, 850 N. Compton Road. Family and friends may call Thursday, November 1st from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street across from Cherry Hill Waterpark and Friday from 8:45-9:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment- Farmington City Cemetery
