Carl Willard Brines

January 28, 1933 — May 11, 2016

Carl Willard Brines, a long-time resident of Centerville Utah, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at the age of 83.  Born on January 28, 1933 to Frank L. Brines and Florence M. Johnson Brines in Corona, California.  He married Alma Mary Hamilton in Salt Lake City on May 29, 1952, and they were later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple.  He and Alma were the parents of two sons, Aubrey Ray Brines (deceased) and Carl Willard Brines II.   

Carl's life work started at a very early age working in his father's garage.  He became a diesel mechanic, and a master craftsman, working with wood, metal, jewelry, and repairing clocks.  He and Alma worked side by side in a small business providing specialized printing services to other printing companies.  Carl also taught industrial arts at Woods Cross High School.  Carl was active in his church and particularly enjoyed his service as a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple.  

Carl is survived by his wife, Alma, his son, Carl and their five grandchildren.  

A viewing will be held at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.  A graveside service will be held Monday, May 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Centerville City Cemetery, 650 East 400 South, Centerville, UT.  The family welcomes all who would like to attend.
