Carlos Oscar Wood passed away September 5, 2018 at the age of 99 in Farmington. He was born in Woods Cross, Utah to Oscar Howard Wood and Zina Elizabeth Porter. Carlos grew up in Val Verda where he enjoyed working on the family farm. Carlos married Lorraine Beth Miller on April 8, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple. Carlos was dedicated to his country and his church, serving in the Coast Guard during World War II, as well as holding numerous callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, including serving in the mission presidency of the British Mission with Lorraine. Carlos was a pillar in the Bountiful community, owning and operating the C. Wood Motor Co. during the 50's and early 60's. He is survived by his brother Ralph, his children, Alan (Elaine), Litchfield Park, Arizona and Linda (David) Garlick, West Bountiful, Utah, as well as many adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carlos was preceded in death by Lorraine in 1996, his parents and siblings Carol (twin), Beth Bangerter, Ella Christiansen, Florine Boes, and brother Don. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful. A viewing will be held at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm and Friday morning
10-10:45 am prior to services.
