Carma Crosby

June 11, 1930 — August 24, 2012

Carma Singley Crosby passed away peacefully on August 24, 2012 in Bountiful, Utah at the age of 82. She was born June 11, 1930 in Woods Cross, Utah to Charlotte V. Hammer and William Carson Singley. She married Melvin George Crosby, March 16, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She lived 5 years on the Cumorah farm in Palmyra, New York and lived the rest of her life in Bountiful, Utah. She was an active member of the Bountiful 10th Ward, serving most of her life in various callings in the YWMIA program. She also served in the Relief Society organization and was editor of the ward paper. She was employed in her parents’ place of business “Singley’s Curve Inn”, Bountiful, Utah. She was also a secretary at Hill Air Force Base, Davis County Extension Service and the Davis County Sheriff’s Office. She retired after 17 years of employment with the Davis County School District Adminsitration Office. She loved gardening, reading, music, sewing, friends, family and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters: Scott M. Crosby, Bountiful, Utah, Mark L. (Pati) Crosby, West Point, Utah, Sylvia C. Reynolds, Magna, Utah and Marie (Herman) Etsitty, Page, Arizona; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Ferrin L. Singley, Bountiful, Utah. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff and friends at Orchard Cove Rehabilitation Center for their loving care and kindness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Bountiful 10th Ward Chapel, 1145 North 200 East. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Saturday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund.
