Carma Bringhurst Johnson 1912 ~ 2008

Carma Bringhurst Johnson passed away Nov. 12, 2008 in Bountiful, UT at the age of 96. She was born in Toquerville, UT on July 25, 1912, the daughter of George Robert Bringhurst & Mary Lulu Harrison. She graduated as salutatorian from BYU in 1933 and taught English. On June 6, 1935 she married Goulding Johnson in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Lovell, WY. She was a talented choir director, composer, & musician. She is survived by 5 children, Julaine Jensen Gale – Farmington, UT, Lauralee Marchant – Billings, MT, Kent Johnson Linda – Canon City, CO, Peter Johnson Paula – Salt Lake City, UT, & Angela Hastings Terry – Afton, WY. Also surviving Carma are 15 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 N. Main, Farmington, UT, where friends and family may call one hour prior to the funeral.
