Carma Swenson Forsberg

Carma Swenson Forsberg passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 with her husband and children around her. Carma was born on February 29, 1920 in Nibley Utah to Margaret Bickmore and Ole Swenson. She was the last surviving child of 7 children.  She is very excited to see her father, mother, and siblings again.

Carma graduated from South Cache High School. She married Leo Forsberg on October 31, 1942. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple.

Carma was a very active member of the LDS Church, and had a deep love of the Gospel. She and Leo served as missionaries in Nauvoo, and as temple workers in the Salt Lake Temple. She also served many years in the Primary in various wards.

Carma and Leo loved to travel. They visited several countries in Europe as well as Russia, Israel, Egypt and many places in the US, Mexico and Canada.

Carma was most happy when she was with her family.  She adored her children, grand children and great grandchildren. She loved to tell stories of her childhood while growing up in Cache Valley. Her father died when she was 10 years old leaving her mother, brothers and sisters to run a large farm.

Carma is survived by her husband Leo, and children Perry Forsberg (Susan), Joyce Randall (Dennis), Steven Forsberg (Sally), Bonnie deJong (Stanley), Christine Edgington, 21 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Bountiful Utah South Stake Center, 1250 South Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family may visit Friday between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah or Saturday between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. at the church.
