Carmen Segura

Carmen Segura was born on August 16, 1936, in Girardot, Colombia, South America and passed away peacefully surrounded by all her children on September 12, 2023, in Bountiful, Utah.

She was the daughter of Daniel Chalela and Helena Contrerras.

She married Juan A. Segura on February 11, 1956, and they were sealed with their children for time and eternity in the Oakland Temple on December 23, 1983.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Carmen is survived by her children: Patty McCoy (Lynn), JC Segura (Patty), German Segura (Jennifer), Jackie Bryan (Bill), Daniel Segura (Yaneth), Luis Segura (Laura), and 17 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Yamile Villamil and many nephews and nieces who loved her very much.

We would like to extend special thanks to all the medical staff who so lovingly attended her as she bravely fought her illnesses.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 16^th from 3:00 – 4:00 PM at Russon Mortuary & Crematory located at 1941 North Main Street in Farmington, Utah.

Funeral services will be streamed live on the Russon Brothers Facebook page and on this obituary page. The live stream will begin 10-15 minutes prior to the service and will be posted below.
