Carol May Woolsey Henderson

May 13, 1928 — September 12, 2015

Carol May Henderson (age 87) passed away peacefully on September 12, 2015 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born May 13, 1928 in Moroni, Utah to Fearel Lars Woolsey and Blanche Bertha Justensen. She married Artie Junior Henderson in 1945. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple.

Carol will be remembered for her sharp sense of humor that remained with her even through her final hours. Many may not have known that she herself was the talented painter whose art graced the walls of their home. Even fewer knew that while still in her teens she served as a trained welder during World War II . She was a fine singer and passed on her love of music to all her posterity. We all marveled that into her late 70s she was still able to hold her own at softball- at family gatherings still hitting every ball and running all the bases.

Carol worked for many years as an Office Manager and Bookkeeper in a variety of businesses. She was an active member of the LDS Church, filling a variety of callings as well as serving as a Temple Worker in the Bountiful and Jordan River Temples.

She is survived, and will be greatly missed by her children Myrna (Gareth) Conder, Mark (Cindy) Henderson and Matt (Lori) Henderson. She was preceded in death by her husband Artie, daughter Diana (Stephen) Miller, and grandson Jeffrey Conder. Carol and Artie have twenty-four Grandchildren, and more than seventy-five Great and Great-Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 21, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in the Bountiful 9th Ward Chapel at 585 E. Center, Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family may visit Monday from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church, or Sunday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at  Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. Interment will be at the Logan Cemetery.
