Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and best friend, returned to the arms of our savior on June 30th, 2019.
Though our hearts ache for the sight, sounds and touch from her, we rejoice in knowing she is whole and well again and that this parting is not forever. We are a Forever Family!
Carols greatest joys in life were her family, She loved caring for and nurturing the people she knew and loved being a wife, mother and grandmother.
She is married for time and all eternity to her soulmate, best friend and sweetheart, Gordon Lee Shaw. One of the favorite activities was sitting on the back porch swing with him overlooking their ‘forest’ and having a cool drink of Coke. The two of them had many adventured in their lives, including serving three missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Through thick and thin, the stood at each other side and when the end came, they were still beside each other, holding each others hand until they parted.
Now for the technical-
Proceeded in death by those who have died and survived by those who are still living. For a list of either, please contact one of the living. (P.S. new census in 2020 will give us a better idea of who that is. Did we mention that mourning can effect people differently? Also, lack of sleep. Well, here is the proof. If you know a good medium, feel free to consult the dead as well.)
As a side note, mother would kill dad if she knew this was going into her obit, so he insists that we do it so he can join her sooner rather than later. Since he is Scottish, it seems useless to argue. He is going to win one way or the other.
Maggie asked that we include her most enthusiastic ‘WOOF!’ in honor of mother. And mom’s bird, Tweeters the 15th, adds his own ‘Tweet!’
Here is to you, mom! Your crazy family loves you and we are keeping the fun alive!
P.S. To all of our friends and relatives- we mean no offense to anyone, but we lived in fun and we will continue in honor of mom to keep the fun alive. There is no greater honor we can give her than that.
