Carol Toone

Surrounded by family, Carol A. Toone, 81, returned to her Heavenly Father and other loved ones on August 31, 2017. Carol was born on November 18, 1935 in Fayette, Utah to Blaine E. Anderson and Hazel M. Robinson. She was sealed to her husband, Kenneth G. Toone, in the Manti Temple on June 22, 1956 and they were married for 61 years.
Carol spent much of her life serving others. She was selfless, humble and had a heart of gold, genuinely caring for everyone she knew. She never missed an opportunity to express her love and appreciation to her family and to those around her. She held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and had a special, unique relationship with each of them.
Throughout her life, Carol was an active and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she served in various capacities in the church. Alongside her husband, she served as a temple worker for more than 18 years in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they also served an 18-month LDS mission in the Minnesota, Minneapolis mission as CES missionaries.
When she wasn't enjoying time with her family or serving in the church, Carol could be found doing family history, reading a book, listening to classical music, attending the theatre or knitting various gifts for others.
Carol is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her four children, Kim Cook (Doug), Kevin (Suzanne), Karen Campbell (Jeff), Chad (Heidi) as well as eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jean and her brother, Gayle.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, September 5, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main St. in Bountiful. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 6, at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the LDS Stake Center, 1250 S. Main St. in Bountiful. Interment will follow at Bountiful City Cemetery.
