Carol Tingey Walton, 94, of Laguna Niguel, California, passed away on January 20, 2023, of natural causes.
Carol was born on January 13, 1929, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Gilbert and Ruth (Parkin) Tingey. From 1937 to 1940, she lived in Samoa where her parents presided over a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Returning to Centerville, Utah, she attended Davis High School and, later, the University of Utah, graduating with a degree in Education.

Carol and Richard started and raised a family of four children, one daughter and three sons, in Santa Monica. Forever supportive and always present at her children’s school, dance, athletics, music and church activities, Carol somehow found time to serve in a variety of church responsibilities including its women’s (Relief Society) and children’s (Primary) organizations. Even though her days were full of activities, Carol always made quality time for her husband, children, extended family, and friends. She was a remarkable example of love and service.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard in 2008. She is survived by her daughter Elise (Ron) Christensen, and sons Mark (Jeannie) Walton, Rand (Julie) Walton and Neal (Tracy) Walton. Carol and Richard have 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Carol also has two brothers: Elwyn (Daryle deceased) Tingey of Fountain Valley, California, and David (Dawnell) Tingey, of Corvallis, Oregon.
