Carolyn Eames Bullock

April 3, 1941 — December 27, 2022

Carolyn Eames Bullock (81) passed away on December 27, 2022, from a heart attack. She was surrounded by her family members at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah. Carolyn is the daughter of David Ivo Eames and Sarah Estella Richardson Eames. She was born on April 3, 1941, in Provo, Utah, but because of her father's employment, ended up moving to Richfield. Later, they moved to Logan, and then to the Avenues in Salt Lake City, and finally, to Bountiful where she graduated from Bountiful High School. She attended BYU where she met her eternal companion, Kenneth G Bullock, in a Botany class-Go, Cougs! To the astonishment of those who knew her, she also attended the U of U for one year.

Carolyn and Ken were married on September 14, 1962, in the Logan Utah Temple. They lived in Provo for 1 year, in Kaysville for 2 years, in Bountiful for 3 years, and in Woods Cross for the last 54 years. Carolyn and Ken served several missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: 18 months at the Historic Liberty Jail in the Independence Missouri Mission, 2 years as ordinance workers in the Bountiful Temple, 5 years as Event Coordinators at Temple Square, 3 years as Hosts at the Conference Center, and she was currently serving with Ken, since last April, at the Church History Library in Salt Lake City. She and Ken were also Family History Consultants and Temple Prep. teachers.

Carolyn is the mother of 7 children: Cindy (Gary) Gordon, Kristy (Ian) McCracken, Sheri (Jeff) Stevens, Kenneth E (Amy) Bullock, Kathy Bullock, David (Jenny) Bullock, and Becky (Guy) Andreason. She has 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, with one more due in April.

Carolyn served in many church callings: Primary Teacher; Sunday School Teacher; Young Womens Teacher and Secretary; Counselor in the Stake Young Women; and Relief Society Counselor and Teacher. She was also active in DUP (Daughters of the Utah Pioneers) as Captain, 1st Vice Captain, Secretary, and Scrapbook Leader.

Several years ago Carolyn was a member of the Woods Cross City Beautification Committee. She worked as a volunteer at Lakeview Hospital and was on several PTA boards. Carolyn loved to vacation at Bear Lake and St. George. She loved riding in their side-by-side, and was a BYU season ticket holder with Ken for basketball and football.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents D. Ivo and Estella Eames, her brother David Eric Eames (stillborn), and her sister Liz Eames (Moore).

The family would like to thank the Woods Cross Police Dept., the South Davis Metro Fire Dept., and the Doctors and staff at Lakeview Hospital for their tender attention and care for Carolyn.
