Carolyn Carlson Eskelson

Carolyn Carlson Eskelson Bountiful- it’s with great sadness we announce that our beautiful Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend to all, passed away due to complications from a 10 year battle with Alzheimer’s disease, at the Heritage Park Care Center in Roy, Utah on July 23rd 2015.

Born on April 30th, 1941 in Pleasant Grove Utah, to Isaac Reed Carlson and Dorothy Maynard Carlson. Married Gail Swain Eskelson on June 19th 1959, together they had four children. Mom loved working in her yard and you would never find an open spot in her flower garden. Carolyn worked as a waitress for over 35 years at Kitty Pappas Steak House in Woods Cross, Utah and even with her failing memory would tell us about how she was a waitress and loved working with Kitty.

Carolyn is survived by her children: Daughter Fae (Ray) Clark of Clearfield; Daughter Jerrie Borrelli of Roy; Son Lenard (Karleen) Eskelson of Clearfield; Son Gary (Sara) Eskelson of Kaysville; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great great Grandchild, her sisters Kathleen Draper of Richfield; Sandra (Dave) Benson of St George; Doris (Dean) Morrell of Sandy, and many nieces and nephews. Carolyn was proceeded in death by both parents, brothers Jack and Ted Carlson, Her loving husband of 49 years Gail Swain Eskelson and son-in-law Pasquelli “Crash” Borrelli.

Funeral services will be held Thursday July 30th at 11 A.M. at Russon Brothers Mortuary on 295 No Main in Bountiful, Utah. Friends and Family may call Wednesday July 29th from 6-8 P.M. and on Thursday July 30th from 9:45-10:45 prior to the services. Interment, will be “a little too close to the road” for moms liking at the Bountiful City Cemetery, Bountiful, Utah.

We would love to thank the staff at Heritage Park Care Center especially the “D” Unit for the love and service that was provided to our Mother over the last few months. Also Thank you to Inspiration Hospice and their wonderful staff for the amazing love and services provided.  While mom loved her flowers we ask that donations be made to Alzheimer’s association Utah Chapter or to your favorite charity.
