Carrie Johnson

May 31, 1957 — July 18, 2013

Carrie Ann Johnson, age 56, of Centerville, UT returned to her Heavenly Father on July 18, 2013. She was born May 31, 1957 in Salt Lake City, UT. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She married her high school sweetheart in the Salt Lake Temple on June 27, 1975. Carrie and Allen spent their life together going on adventures and exploring the Rocky Mountain West. Many weekends were spent going on drives together to their favorite spots. Together they raised 4 children Ryan, Cory, Greg and Megan.
One of Carrie’s greatest accomplishments was earning her double Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice at the age of 40, and then earning teaching certificates specializing in Special Needs. With this, she served special needs children in Davis County for more than 20 years. Her school children each held a special place in her heart.
Carrie had a sassy sense of humor and her laugh will be greatly missed. Even through years of poor health, she always kept her smile, wit and spirit.
She is survived by her loving husband Allen, sister Brenda (Tim) Foren, and children Ryan (Amanda), Cory, Greg (Jackie) and Megan. She is also survived by her greatest joys, her 4 grandchildren: Hunter, Avery, Adalyn and Grady and was excited about one more on the way.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeview LDS Ward at 1461 North Main Street, Centerville UT. A viewing will be held Monday, July 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church, prior to services.
