Carrie Koester

May 12, 1965 — October 2, 2014

Carrie Ann Koester our loving Wife, Mother, Grandma, and Domestic Goddess passed away on October 2, 2014. Carrie loved spending time with her family, gardening, sitting next to her Koi fish ponds, and experimental cooking! She was an avid warm weather hunter, and was highly skilled at snaggin’ Carp at the duck club (which she always caught the most out of all of us). She had an infectious laugh and loved helping those close to her in any way she could. She was an AMAZING decorator and had an “eagle eye” that would rival any level. She was the best mother a child could ask for and an even better grandma. Carrie grew up in Rose Park then moved to West Bountiful where she graduated from Viewmont High School. She was the first of five children born to Gary and Linda Spilman of West Bountiful. Carrie Married her childhood sweetheart in 1983 and still going strong. Wade and Carrie have two children and five grandsons. She was preceded in death by her Grandfather R. Scott Haslam and nephew Todd Jay Koester. She is survived by her husband Wade Koester, children Craig (Jamie), Katie (Travis) Parents Gary and Linda Spilman, Steve (Alana) Spilman, (Rich) Sherrie Austin Leaf, Mary Robinson, (Brandon)Deedee Smith, husbands parents: Danny and Elaine Koester, Mick (Kathy)Koester, (Jeff) Jody Nash and numerous nieces and nephews.
