Carrol Leon Howell 1923-2011

Bountiful- Carrol Leon Howell passed away Friday, July 8, 2011 in Bountiful, Utah at the age of 88. He was born June 15, 1923 in Fairview Utah to Ernest and Fawn Howell. Married Lavon Cashin in the Salt Lake LDS Temple October 1st, 1956. He served honorably and was an officer in the U.S. Air Force and continued his career in the military as a civil engineer working at Hill Air Force Base. He was an active member of the LDS church and served in many callings, including an LDS Extraction Mission. Carrol was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Allen and Jerry. He is survived by his wife and five children; Diane (Tom) Hodnett, David (Kelly) Howell, Laura (Phillip) Sargent, Lorin (Aurora) Howell and Blake Howell. He was grandfather to 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held Tuesday, July 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary 295 North Main, in Bountiful. Funeral services will held Wednesday, July 13 11:00 a.m. with a viewing held one hour prior to the service at the same location. Interment- Lakeview Memorial Estates following the service.
