Cary Greg Barrett our beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather began his next great adventure on March 20, 2025. Born March 27, 1949, to Dean L. and Evelyn Kempton Barrett in Rupert Idaho. Cary and his twin brother were delivered by a midwife covering for the Obstetrician while on vacation. Cary spent his early childhood years in Malta Idaho, then the family moved to Centerville until their home in Bountiful was completed.
Cary's knack for electrical, electronics and automobiles drew him to enroll and accelerate in all of the automotive and electrical classes offered during his high school years. Cary's love for automobiles did not stop after graduating from high school, but rather expanded into the restoration of three classic cars. Cary worked at Univac building computers, Trolley Square doing electrical work, and Eaton-Kenway building stackers, conveyers, and robotics. Cary was very talented. He could fix anything that had to do with electronics, or cars. Cary loved music of all kinds and was an excellent guitar player and singer. He loved to play and sing for his friends and family.
A big thanks to Lanny Tracy (1944-2023), a best friend and cousin. He contributed to Cary's understanding in rebuilding automobile engines, but the most important lesson learned from Lanny was how to treat people.
Cary married the love of his life, Mona in 2000, together they shared a great life. Cary suffered many years of debilitating Rheumatoid Arthritis. However, Cary did not let the Rheumatoid Arthritis stop him from fixing cars, remodeling the house and building the ultimate man cave.
Cary is survived by his loving wife Mona of 25 years, His children and grandchildren Shane (Alisha) Destiny and William, Jennifer (Sean) Charley, and Andy, Justin (Karina), Alisa and Stefani, his brother Curtis (Shirley). Cary is preceded in death by his parents, Dean L. and Evelyn Kempton Barrett and his twin brother Craig Gary Barrett.
