Catherine Ann Douglass of Syracuse Utah, was recently reunited with her late husband, Jerry Dean Johnson.
Cathie was born on May 17,1952 in Monroe WI. to John and Pansy Scambia. She was the third of 6 children. Growing up in Wisconsin, Indiana, Delaware, Virginia, until settling in Utah in 1961 where she graduated from Clearfield High class of 1970.
She had a full career as a federal employee working at Hill Air Force Base where she worked hard, earned many awards and made great friendships. She was just getting used to retirement after working for 37 years.
Cathie enjoyed traveling the world. She visited the United Kingdom, Germany, France and China to name a few but she was always up for a Disney trip. Cathie was an infectious person whose laugh was always a giveaway to her location. She did everything possible to help those around her. She loved her big jewelry and sparkly gems. She radiated class from her hair to her shoes and always arrived in style; her yellow corvette was her most recent favorite. She adored her grandchildren and made many memories with them by taking them shopping, going to hockey games and watching their favorite shows.
Cathie will be missed by her son Josh and his wife Josie, daughter Whitnie, her 7 grandchildren Kadin “big kid hockey player”(16), “little Miss” Ivy Rose (12), Kohen “ko-ko”(9), Cambree “jelly-bean”(9), Hadlee “do-dah”(7), Zoee Alexis (2), Rubee Jae (2 weeks). Her fluffy sidekick Evie. Her siblings; Sandy, Steve, Debbie, Phil and Lois as well as many adoring nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.
A celebration of her life will be held Thursday April 19, 2018 open house 6:30 to 9:00pm at Fountain View in Station Park, 164 N. West Promontory Unit #200 Farmington, Utah. Some of her favorite foods will be served. The family has requested that since flowers die (we don’t want any more of that) there is a memorial fund in her name (Cathie Douglass) at America First Credit Union to go towards her grandkids future. They’re going places!
