Cecil Henry McDermaid

Cecil Henry McDermaid, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2006. He was born December 16, 1920 to William Tait and Anne Ellis McDermaid in Logan, Utah. He married Alene Jeppson on February 11, 1943 in Preston, Idaho. They were sealed for all eternity on June 11, 1963 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He served his Heavenly Father faithfully in many Church callings. He also served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He is survived by daughters: Karen Tom Thomson, Anne Scott Loertscher and Nancy Kevin Billings. 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Alene, and daughter Susan Rasmussen. He left a great legacy of caring and nurturing. The family expresses great appreciation to Atria of Sandy for their care and all those who shared their time and concern.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 14, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS meeting House at 1100 West 500 North, SLC. Friends may call from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
