Charles Chuck Burns Reed, 68, was born to the late Harry and Carol Reed, May 1, 1943, in SLC, UT. He graduated from West High School in Salt Lake in 1961. He attended the University of Utah, served the country in the Army Reserve, and served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Eastern States Mission. He started working for Standard Oil in 1965, enjoying a 38 year career with the company as it went through several name changes; Amoco, BP, Arco. In 1964, Chuck married his childhood sweetheart, Erolene Cline, for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they raised four daughters while his career took them from Salt Lake City to Kennewick, WA, Jamestown, ND, Denver, CO, Kansas City, MO, St. Louis, MO, and Corona, CA. Chuck was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout his life. He served many congregations as the organist and clerk. Chuck is survived by his wife of 47 years, Erolene; and four daughters: Charlene (Todd) Mears of Spokane, WA, Camille (Mike) Lomax of Corona, CA, Diane Reed of Corona, CA, Janet (Brandon) Beck of Gilbert, AZ. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren. A valiant battle was waged by Chuck against kidney cancer. He returned to heaven on a beautiful Christmas day, in his home, surrounded by family who love him. Funeral services in Utah will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2011 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where a viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
