Chuck died on December 15, 2013 after battling lung cancer. He was born October 14, 1925 to George Class and Lareatta Bradfield in San Francisco. He served as a 2nd Lieutenant, Bombardier, in the Army Air Corp from 1943 to 1945. In July of 1947, he married Audrey Bevan in Salt Lake City. She preceded him in death December 1984. He worked as a general contractor in San Francisco under apprenticeship of his uncle from whom he learned his craft. Chuck owned Class Construction Company of Bountiful and built many beautiful homes and buildings throughout Davis County. He was well-known for his expertise, quality, and attention to detail. He loved to golf and fish and especially loved the calm of an early morning lake.
Chuck is survived by his loving companion of 27 years, Leola Hatch; sister, Lorraine Schollmeyer (Bruce Earle), Salt Lake; daughter, Paulette (Gary) Birdsall, Bountiful; son, Charles Kelly (Kari) Class, Woods Cross; four grandchildren: Callie Birdsall, Sarah (John) Huizingh, Eric Class and Evan (Sarah) Class; and four great-grandchildren: Cade and Lucas Huizingh, Angela Class and Oliver Class.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Brandon Fisher, Dr. Regina Klein, Dr. Gregory Hammond, as well as Dr. Jeff DeGrauw, Julie Reagan and their team at CNS Hospice.
A private graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Bountiful.
