Charles Franklin “Frank” Johnson
Born Jan 3, 1930 in Mayfield, Utah to Charles H. Johnson and Elma Christiansen Johnson
Died Dec 8, 2019, at Wide Horizons Care Center in Ogden, Utah, once again able to see, hear and walk.
He spent his early years on the ranch in Afton, Wyoming, where he could care for the chickens, the bum Lambs, and mow the lawn.
The family moved to Bountiful, Utah in 1959. Here he faithfully served as a home teacher, reminding his companion they had to get the visits made in the first week of the month. Though a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this was about the only calling in which he was capable of serving.
At 61 years of age, he moved to Ogden to Wide Horizons Care Center, where he spent the rest of his life, having lived there 28 years.
Frank is survived by two siblings, Elma LaRue Crook, and Jerry H. Johnson, and many nieces and nephews. His parents and a brother, Jack L. Johnson, preceded him in death. The family expresses heartfelt thanks to the staff and care givers at Wide Horizons for 28 years of care they have provided.
A viewing will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 1:30 to 3:00 pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main St, Bountiful followed by a graveside service at 3:30 at The Bountiful City Cemetery.
