Charles Jerome “CJ” Glover, 33, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, August 27th, during a professional off-road race that ended tragically in an accident. CJ is survived by his sweet loving wife, Jennessa Glover (Jaj), son Charlie Jet “broski” (4), daughter Stevie Maleah (1), father Anthony W. Glover, mother Jennette Glover, brothers, Anthony James (Justine) (LaShawn) and Aedan Jaice, sister, Sophi Jolyse (Caspian), grandfather, Robert Schuening and grandmother Irene Schuening, and countless loving Uncles, Aunts, cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews, and so many friends who became family. He is preceded in death by, and will be reunited with, his sisters Maleah Monee and Annaka Hailey, brother, David Jurgen, maternal grandfather Bruce Jensen, paternal grandfather Otis Glover, and grandmother Flora Glover.
CJ was born on May 15th, 1989, in Mission Viejo, California. When CJ was in third grade he moved with his family to Millcreek Utah. Upon moving to Utah CJ danced for Ballet West. While attending Skyline High, CJ participated in football, track and field, wrestling, and cheer before graduating in 2007.
He went on to attend Utah State University where he continued to cheer. The love CJ had for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was shown when he chose to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Pennsylvania, Philadelphia mission. He continued his education at Weber State University where he studied a Sales and Business Professional degree.
He went on to become a pilot, starting at Skywest, and progressing to Captain before finishing his career as a First Officer at Jet Blue.
At the age of 26 CJ married Jennessa Nannette (Jaj), whom he loved dearly. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple on December 15, 2015. Together they have two beautiful children, Charlie Jet “broski” (4) and Stevie Maleah (1). CJ’s family was the center of his universe. His work ethic had no limit and could not be matched.
Anyone who knows CJ knows he never lived a dull moment, and when he was in, he was all the way in. His accomplishments and hobbies cannot all be included here, but just to list a few: dancing with his friends, dunk team for the Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns, boating, America’s Got Talent, basketball, boxing, long jumping, high jumping, wrestling, cheerleading, and coaching. He could do anything he set his mind to.
Listed below are some “famous” CJ sayings which will give you a glimpse of the type of person he built himself up to be; “Doubt me, Go Big or Go Home, We’re Glovers, We live for big moments, Clutch, Aguhh!, love ya babe (jaj).”
CJ’s personality, and positive attitude towards life was infectious, and will continue to be so. Anyone that is lucky enough to count him as family or friend will never forget the impact CJ had on their lives. He will be missed by all.
