Charles Lewis Marchant

July 29, 1925 — August 4, 2015

Charles Lewis Marchant was born in Cowley Wyoming to Leone Lewis and Charles Marchant.  He was the oldest of five boys, and had four older sisters.  He joined the Navy at 17. He was a turret gunner on a torpedo bomber (TBM) plane, and served in Europe and Japan.  After his discharge he married Renee Welling.  They had three children – Donald (Carol), Diane (Pete), and Marilee (Gary).  He had many grandchildren and great grandchildren that he loved very much!  He drove truck for IML, and retired after 28 years.  He then took up fishing, and was a famous fishing guide for Frontier Lodge in the North West for over 40 years.  He had friends all over the world calling to make reservations for him to be their guide.  He retired from fishing at age 80.  He fought a good fight, and made it to 90 years old, battling poor health.  A special thanks to the CNS for their years of tender care, and thanks to the kind nurses and doctors at Lakeview during his last week.  He died peacefully surrounded by his family.
