Charles Wesley Oliver

December 10, 1942 — October 11, 2018

     Charles Wesley Oliver born December 10, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah returned home to the Loving arms of his Savior, mother, father, sister, daughter and many other loved ones
on Thursday, October 11, 2018.  He had struggled with the effects of diabetes for several years.
     Charles (Butch,Wes, C.W.) was raised in Bountiful, Utah where he attended Stoker School, Bountiful Junior High School, and Bountiful High School.  He also attended and graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor Degree, and later earned a Master Degree.  He served a Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the North British Mission.  He also filled a Service Mission at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ogden Cannery.  He served in the United States Army as a nurse, stationed in Germany and at Ft. Sam Houston Medical Hospital.  He worked for the United States Government in Logistics as a Purchasing Agent.
     He married Wanda Davenport, they had one daughter, they later divorced.
     Charles was bold and carried it with a sense of humor. He loved interacting and visiting with anyone he was with.  He loved to learn, and studied business.  He was an ardent studier of the Scriptures.  
     He was lovingly cared for by his Siblings.  We are grateful for members of the Bountiful 37th Ward, Kim Sannar, and a special thank you to Dave Cerchio his homecare companion. We thank the many doctors, nurses and health care institutions who took very good care of him.
          He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice Purnell Oliver and Charles Colin Oliver, his sister Sharon Patricia Bilingsly Oliver, and his daughter Melissa Mae Oliver Pineda.
     He is survived by his siblings:  Diana Jean (Wes) Smith, David Bruce (LeeAnn), Gary Lyn, Sandra Alice (Dan) Ferraro, granddaughter Emily Pineda, and many nieces and nephews.
     A graveside service will be held at the Bountiful City Cemetery, Friday, October 19, 2018 at  12:00 Noon.  A public viewing will not be held.  Mortuary services are provided by Russon Mortuary in Bountiful, Utah.
