It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandpa Charles Ervin Wimmer, who passed away at home on August 15, 2024 at the age of 86. He was a man of immense humor and wisdom cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones.
Charles was born March 11, 1938 in Gooding, Idaho. He was the youngest of four children born to Charles LeRoy and Ida Louretta Wimmer. He married his high school sweetheart, Phyllis Kathryn Trosper on September 6, 1959 in Gooding, Idaho. She preceded him in death. He was blessed to find a second love and married Judy Allred on November 9, 1996 and they were sealed in the Bountiful Temple on May 14, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Wimmer, daughters Barbara Kane (Michael) and Lisa Wimmer. Judy’s daughters Teri Marshall (Hal), Toni Jackson, and Tami Gross (Kim), 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandsons.
Besides his first wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Marie Lindell, Gladys Wimmer, Edwin Wimmer; and grandson Sandon Marshall.
The family would like to thank Dignity Hospice especially Mesha and Jessica, Sunset Park Villa community and Syracuse 3rd Ward for their love and compassion.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Syracuse 3rd Ward, 2679 South 1000 West, Syracuse, Utah.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society.
