Charmaine Pratt Folland

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and Friend Charmaine Pratt Folland was called home following her battle with Alzheimer's Disease on July 2, 2024.

Born October 5, 1947, to Glen Arthur and Lois Ruth Evans Pratt, she was the first of 5 children. Growing up in Salt Lake City, Utah, Portland, Oregon, then San Jose, California, the family returned to Salt Lake, where Charmaine graduated from Olympus High School.

In 1969, she met the love of her life, David Robert Folland, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on August 14, 1970. Adopting in 1979, Charmaine became a loving mother to three children. Her love of children extended beyond her own family, hosting over 100 children in 10 years in her home daycare.

A lifelong pianist, she often shared her love of music with her calling to the primary at church and at home with her children. Charmaine enjoyed vacations, whether travelling to Niagara Falls, Nauvoo, Portland and San Jose to visit her childhood homes, St. Martin, Disneyland or the many family vacations at the Homestead. She was a consummate shutterbug, taking thousands of photos along the way.

Charmaine was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Julianne Pratt Shanks (Bill) and Ruth Ann Pratt Clark (Day Devoe), and brother Edward Glen Pratt (Julie Roberts). She is survived by her Husband David Robert Folland, Brother James Evans (Deborah Kay) Pratt, Sons Richard Glen and Joseph David Folland, Grandsons Marley David and Gabriel Kai Folland, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2024, at the Centerville 5th Ward, 270 North 300 East, Centerville, Utah. An evening viewing will take place from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. An afternoon viewing will be held from 12:30-1:45 p.m. on Monday at the church prior to services.
