Cherie Best

Cherie, 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep in Bountiful, Utah. She was born in Salt Lake City to Leslie & Alice Thompson. Married George Best and had 5 children. Later divorced.

She was a faithful member of the LDS Church. A gifted pathology secretary, she retired from PCMC after 32 years. She served for several years on the board for the Festival of Trees. She loved crafting, knitting, sewing, cooking, reading, gardening & word puzzles.

Cherie leaves behind her children Teri (Lynn), David (Sherrie), Janet (Kenneth), and Tracy (Carmen), 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her son Douglas and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 24th at 11 am at the 25th Ward church house, 600 East 1500 South in Bountiful. Friends and family may pay their respects prior to the funeral from 9:30-10:30. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Salt Lake City. The family would like to express a sincere thanks to the staff at North Canyon Care Center.
