Christina Marie Gowans

Christina Marie Gowans was a loving mother, wife, and friend.

Born in Provo, Utah, to Bryan and Joann Jenkins, Christina was the first of three siblings, Hannah and Jonathan.

She attended Viewmont High School in Bountiful, Utah, and later graduated from BYU in Provo with a degree in Family Development.

Shortly after graduation, she married Bentley Gowans in the Bountiful Temple on August 21, 2015. Together, they had two children, Aiden and Mara Jade, who were the center of Christina's world. She instilled in them a love for reading and learning, taking them to the library every week and cherishing their time together. She loved being a mother to Aiden and Mara Jade.

Christina worked for DMBA as a nurse's assistant, supporting missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worldwide.

A devoted member of the Church, she served in many callings throughout her life and frequently attended the temple.

Although her passing was sudden, her impact on all of us will last forever.

Viewings will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, April 4, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main Street, Bountiful, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bountiful Tabernacle, 55 South Main St. Bountiful Utah.

Services will be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary Live Facebook page and on this obituary page. The live stream will begin 10-15 minutes prior to services and will be posted below.

The family has set up a GoFundMe account (Christina Gowans) and a Venmo account (Bentley Gowans@MonkeyG37) to help with funeral arrangements and expenses.
